⛤ LOVE POTION ⛤

Mulled Wine makes a delicious love potion between two consenting people. The main ingredients (cloves, cinnamon, coriander) have a strong correspondence with love and lust and make a great aphrodisiac. As you prepare, make and serve the mulled wine, put your intention into each step. You can add a chant if you like. If you don't want to use it as a love potion with a  partner, mulled wine works perfectly well among friends - just change your intention to one of friendship and a fun social atmosphere

⛤ CLOVES ⛤

Cloves are great for social gatherings – the fragrance will lift the atmosphere, enhance kinship, and bring people closer. Cloves have long been used in love spells, to reignite passion between existing lovers, reunite couples in crisis, and used as an aphrodisiac.

⛤ CINNAMON ⛤

Cinnamon is great in spells for love and relationships (both to attract love, and for existing relationships) and is perfect for any kind of love potion.

⛤ CORIANDER ⛤

Coriander is used in love, lust and passion spell work. It is used in weddings and handfastings, and is also used for when people aren't getting along.

⛤ INGREDIENTS ⛤

  • Any red wine that suits your tastes
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 7 whole coriander seeds ground in a mortar & pestle
  • 2-4 tablespoons of sugar (or to taste)

⛤ OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS ⛤

There are so many variations on how to make mulled wine, it is fun to experiment and try new ingredients too.
  • Sliced orange (you can use the fruit juice or just the peel)
  • Sliced lemon
  • Vanilla pod
  • 1/4 cup of brandy or your favourite liqueur
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of ginger powder

⛤ METHOD ⛤

  • Place all the ingredients except the wine into a saucepan on a medium heat. Add a small amount of wine just to cover the sugar.
  • Let the sugar melt and the spices infuse for about 4-5 minutes while stirring. It should become quite thick and syrupy.
  • Turn the heat down to low, and add the red wine. Slowly heat the red wine with the syrup - it is very important not to let it boil or the alcohol will be evaporated.
  • Strain, serve and enjoy! If you want to be extra fancy, add an orange slice and stick of cinnamon to each glass •
